Hotel Information

IMPORTANT NEWS, as of 1/24/07
January 24 was the last day to make reservations at the ICISF discounted group rate at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, the host hotel for the 9th World Congress. If you are still in need of accommodations for the World Congress, here are your options:

1. Contact the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. They will continue to book rooms as long as they are available, but after 5:00 EST today, January 24, the room rate will be higher. Call either (888) 511-7809 for 24 hour U.S. and International access; or (410) 385-3000 (direct to the hotel and 24 hour access). Be sure to mention you're attending the ICISF 9th World Congress.

2. We have just finalized arrangements for a small block of rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Inner Harbor/Downtown, located approximately 1.5 blocks from the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. The discounted rate for World Congress participants is $169 plus 12.5% tax per night (single or double occupancy). This special rate can be guaranteed until February 9 or until the block of rooms sells out, whichever comes first. After this date, the availability of discounted rooms cannot be guaranteed.. To obtain these discounted rates, it is critical that you identify yourself as an attendee at the ICISF 9th World Congress.

Or call 1-800-321-2211

3. Consider the World Congress Roommate Referral Service. There may be people on this list who already have a room reserved at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, and who are interested in sharing hotel expenses. If you're interested, please go to the Roommate Referral Service page of the 9th World Congress website for additional information.

Please note that the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel is a non-smoking facility. This applies to all meeting space, public spaces, restaurants and sleeping rooms—the entire hotel. This is a Marriott company-wide policy in effect since October 2006. ICISF regrets any inconvenience.

Registration Information

IMPORTANT NOTE as of 1/25/07
The Early Registration Deadline has been EXTENDED to Tuesday, January 30, 2007!
We've heard from a number of folks that approval of funding, paperwork and so forth seems to be moving forward slower than usual and that they were not able to register by the original early registration (January 24). We're pleased to be able to extend the availability of the lower early registration rates to accommodate anyone who has not yet registered. The early registration rates will remain available until 11:59pm on Tuesday, January 30. The higher Regular registration rates will go into effect on January 31.

If you previously submitted your registration on January 25 at the published higher registration rates, rest assured we will be processing your registration at the early registration rates instead.
